Luke Sikora

Luke is the Chief of Staff to the NSW Minister for Local Government, the Hon Shelley Hancock. Leading a team of nine based in both Nowra and Sydney, Luke lead’s government engagement with the state’s 128 councils, delivers reform through cabinet and government processes and works with the Office of Local Government, also based in Nowra, to effectively serve the state’s local councils.

A South Coast local, Luke has worked with Shelley for over 13 years in various roles and has a background in small business, working for a number of years in his family’s food retail business, and eventually operating his own small business in Nowra.

Luke has served on a number of Shoalhaven City Council committees and worked with local community groups for a decade to secure outcomes from government. As a current member of the NSW Government’s Nowra Riverfront Revitalisation Taskforce, Luke is focused on working to bring stakeholders together to deliver a vibrant riverfront for the Shoalhaven.

Luke has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New South Wales’, AGSM, and is currently studying a Masters in Public and Social Policy at Macquarie University.
